Welcome to the very first Forkful Food blog. Given that the world is already awash with food blogs, I thought long and hard about what theme this one should take, and decided a good place to start would be to write about stuff that I would find useful. And what would that be? Well, as the owner of an obscene number of cookery books, I spend far too much time flicking through them trying to find not just recipes, but little culinary hints and tips, nuggets of kitchen wisdom that I know was in such and such a book. Only it wasn’t in that book, or the next, or the one after, but 20 books in I manage to track said bit of information down. And each time this happens I say to myself “I must write these things down…”
