Cookery Lessons & Cookery Calendar

Forkful Food carries its ethos of “great food, made with thought” through to its highly popular cookery classes. Run by Leith’s trained chef Ruth Weighill, Forkful’s lessons are fun, informal and informative. Working either in small groups (maximum 6 people), or on a one-to-one basis, classes and demonstrations are carefully structured to introduce core skills which students can build on using the information sheets and packs of tried and tested recipes they get to take home.

You can choose from:

One-to-one, bespoke cookery classes:

Aimed at those who want to learn new skills or improve on what they already know. So, if you’re nervous about fish cookery, or want to sharpen up your knife skills, give us a call and we’ll devise a half or one day programme just for you.

(£100 half day / £200 full day + ingredients)

Forkful’s “kitchen table” classes:

Friendly, informal but highly informative, our 2-3 hour kitchen table classes for small groups, offer demonstrations with a little hands-on practice. Subjects covered are skills-based – for instance, we offer classes in chocolate or bread and jam – and explain the theory behind the practice.

(£30 per head – or bring a friend and pay £25 each)

Ladies (and gents!) who lunch:

In this popular format ideal for groups, Forkful will show you how to cook a delicious, impressive yet achievable 3 course menu – and when its ready, you get to sit down and eat it with a glass of wine.

(£35 per head – or bring a friend and pay £30 each)
